PR & Communication Lead

Your mission
As the Public Relations and Communications Lead at BALY, your mission is to elevate our company's brand presence and reputation across various media channels. You will spearhead PR strategies, manage media relations, and ensure that our communications are cohesive and impactful. Your efforts will be crucial in building and maintaining our image as the leading super app in Iraq.
Responsibilities
Main responsibilities:
  • Crisis Management: Provide effective crisis management solutions and present strategies to mitigating PR crises.
  • Content Creation: Write and edit press releases, speeches, media announcements, and other PR copy. Draft pitches, case studies, white papers, and media summaries.
  • Media Relations: Serve as the primary contact for media queries, gaining, maintaining and nurturing relationships with key reporters, and managing media requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Dispute Resolution: Suggest effective ways to resolve internal or external disputes.
  • Public Relations Strategy: Create and implement PR plans to enhance the company's voice and presence across online and offline channels.
  • Reporting and Feedback: Measure PR program impacts using regular reporting, and track and analyze media coverage to inform future campaigns.
  • Building Professional Relations: Create a key stakeholder mapping for the business line, prioritizing them based on influence and interest. Arrange and prepare for external meetings with clear objectives and maintain continuous engagement to align stakeholder interests with business goals.
Secondary responsibilities:
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research and analyze public opinion. Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of PR campaigns and communicate insights to management.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with external stakeholders including public affairs offices, consumer organizations, and professional societies. Support the implementation of promotional plans.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all communication is cohesive with the brand image. Help marketing teams tell effective brand stories.
Requirements
  • Bachelor/master's degree in PR, management, business, marketing or related field
  • At least 1-3 years of professional experience required in PR, marketing, event planning or related field
  • Fluency in formal Arabic language is a must, English language is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Creative writing
  • Ability to multitask and work good under pressure
